19 weeks

I consulted with a few hollywood starlets . . . they said to keep the public interested in your "fame" (a.k.a. - keep reading your blog) you have to give them what they want.

So, I'm taking their advice and finally posting a much asked for and long awaited "pregnancy pic."
I am now to the point where people at church who may not have already heard the news about baby Stenberg will give me a second glance or two with that look . . . "Are you expecting????"

And the switch of colors on the site to pink AND blue?Well, much to the distress of some (angie b) we will NOT be finding out whether we are having a boy or a girl. It is a little fun, and a LOT out of character for both Mark and I who are planners by nature.

All is going well so far. I am feeling tired often - there is a reason most ladies choose to do this having a baby gig in their twenties! But God isn't surprised that I'll be 36 when this baby comes. So I shouldn't really complain. It was His plan after all!

Names? We are working on a list. It is a work in progress really. While there are some names that come up more often than others as favorites, we aren't settled at all. That will come too in time.

Mark has been working hard on renovating the basement with the new guest room and bathroom. As soon as it is finished we'll get to work on the baby's room. That will be fun and make it all the more real.

Thanks for reading!

Sister, I am with you on having kids "later" in life....though I was technically 38 when Mag was born.....I DID have more energy in my 20s.....or maybe I just had terminator 1 and 2, thus I was required to have more energy. You will be AWESOME!!!!!!!

You look adorable Mandy! I can't believe you and I are as close in age as we are (just turned 26 AGAIN - okay with 11 years experience)! And yes, pregnancy at 36 isn't near as enjoyable as at 32 - which I am sure is not near as enjoyable as in ones twenties - but then I really can't comment on any of that! LOL! Enjoy the experience of it all no matter what! Keep us posted!
Sweet blessings!

Ohhhhhhh you are soooooo CUTE! You look like you are carrying high up so I've heard that means a boy. We are naming our new boy Deacon which I love so you can copy us if you want. I sent you a picture of him by email.
Love you!

God will give you the energy and that patience you need to have a little one no matter what time in life they are born, but you might have to pray a lot more for the energy to come. You look precious. Having a little one inside is an amazing act of God. He is knitting your baby together!

You are beautiful! Mommyhood is truly a gift from God. As for being 30 something...well, just think how many more stories you have to share with your child! Enjoy not knowing the gender. (Ask the doc to let Mark announce your child...I loved having Kevin do that.) And take as many babymoons as you can. :)

Hey Mandy!

You are so darn beautiful! Oh, by the way, you are having a girl! Girls are high, boys are low and you are very high! I know, it is all crazy, but fun to guess. My guess is a little Stenberg girl will be joining you soon.

Love,
Hollie

You look great Mandy! Can't wait to meet the little one. Boy I would say... just because I don't know anything about little girls. Ha!

Congrats, Mandy! Yes, we knew about the giant Ruston reunion lunch - we were also in town, but decided that with our 3 preschoolers, it would have been impossible to visit. More & more when we visit Ruston, we just put up our feet, have coffee, and let Mama C get her energy out with those grandkids! Thanks for visiting my blog...

life on the farm is good. we have 2 good couples that we will really miss when we leave. but one thing we must say-something must have changed since eveyone we know went through it because there is a LOT of work to do here! :) EVERYONE told us how much fun it was and that there wasn't much work but holy cow, we are all pretty busy. even the journeymen feel a little overwhelmed. i'm hoping it's just at the beginning . . . so thanks for false expectations ;) just kidding. we are enjoying though. i'm so glad we only have renae and that she is young and easy. wow this is a long comment. see ya!
